Photography Background
After many years as a hobbyist photographer I decided to open up a studio and share my love of the wonderful art form of photography with friends, family and, ultimately, clients.
My passion for photography began as a young man in England. I have been fortunate enough to travel to the Middle East, Europe, Central America, the Caribbean and Mexico. I have lived in the US for over 20 years. This broad range of landscapes, cultures, people, colors and photographic opportunities has taught me to appreciate the diversity of people and their lives. I try to capture some small part of that when I take on a photo shoot.
Mission
While I am constantly working on personal photography projects, I also dedicate time for family portraits, wedding photos packages, as well as helping new and established models in developing their portfolios with both location and studio photo shoots. I'm always looking for creative-minded people who want to add to their memories with elegant, creative photographic shots. I am open to discussing ideas for photo shoots that lean to the edgy, colorful, moody or wild.
Equipment & Facilities
Michael G Photography has a fully equipped photo studio that is convenient for Bay Area and Central Valley/Sacramento clients. Our photo studio space can accommodate a large family, motorcycles, cheerleading squads or a soccer team (with the Moms, too). We use Canon digital cameras and Hensel lighting for optimum reliability and results.
I choose photo locations to suit the photographs’ requirements, as well as the needs and goals of the model. In my photo studio you can play your own CD's, tapes or records (remember vinyl?), or even hook your iPod into our sound system.

Bring in some magazine images and we’ll see what we can do to recreate the ‘look’ in your photos.
TFP/CD is available for select models whose images I feel will enhance both our portfolios.
